best equipment available for both epilating and for
sterilization/disinfection purposes. You will be trained in
thermolysis, both flash and manual, the Blend, and single needle
galvanic using the latest technology on ALL NEW Equipment by
Apilus.
Unlike some other programs, you won't find antiques in our school! This list is by no means intended to be exhaustive, just illustrative. For the latest information and to see the actual equipment in use, contact us to arrange to visit the school. |

EPILATORS YOU WILL USE: NOTE: If you already have an epilator or will be working for someone who has a specific type let us know that ahead of time and you can bring it with you and we will be happy to train you on it. |
Apilus®
Senior II
The Apilus®
Senior II offers an impressive list of high-performance functions.
Reliability
By taking advantage of the latest technological developments, the new Apilus®
Senior II represents a new level of excellence in computer-controlled permanent
hair removal. Comparator circuits guarantee unparalleled current stability,
while the new protection module "Processor Sentinel" (PS) constantly
monitors the condition of the microprocessor. It comes as no surprise that the
Apilus®
Senior II is the number-one choice for anyone who seeks reliable, comfortable
and safe treatment conditions.
Performance
A 25% power increase, and adjustments accurate to one thousandth of a second
allow the use of the MicroFlash®
mode, which provides more comfortable and rapid treatments. Other modes such as
Flash, thermolysis and thermocoagulation are also offered on the Apilus®
Senior II.
Effectiveness
A whole range of high-performance possibilities in electrolysis or Blend modes
combine different advantages to provide more effective treatments. Maximize your
results with the OmniBlend®
mode, which sets the ideal level of thermolysis and ensures that treatments are
perfectly adapted to your client's sensitivity when you use the Tolerance Test.
Easy to use
Directly displayed on screen, all 360 programs included in the Apilus®
Senior II have been carefully prepared to cater to each specific area of the
body. Furthermore, the Apilus®
Senior II allows you to add up to 40 personalized programs. Nothing could be
simpler to adapt to each particular situation! The addition of cataphoresis
programs greatly facilitates the use of the cataphoresis mode. Combined with an
application alarm, it allows you to end your electrolysis treatments gently.
Innovations
Innovative techniques provide undeniable improvements to the quality of care
provided by the user of the Apilus®
Senior II. The MicroFlash®
Proportional Pulsing function (MPP) automatically compensates the application
time of thermolysis when more than one pulse is required, thus optimizing the
comfort of your client. The energy level key (eL) indicates the calorific value
applied during treatment in Flash or MicroFlash®
modes, confirming user-controlled adjustments. Furthermore, the Apilus®
Senior II offers:

OPTICALS WE UTILIZE:
Electrology can be very
labor intensive and many an electrologist has sacrificed his or her back and
eyes.
See how
her neck is bent in the picture--even though her posture is excellent and
this is a pretty easy angle and area to work on. Talk about neck
pain!
We believe in developing good ergonomically correct work-habits from the start. Instead of bending over old-fashioned magnifier lights, we recommend a more ergonomically correct solution, scopes, or loupes.
Some people prefer to try cheap magnifying glasses, and they work in the short run but think of how close (generally 4 inches or less from your work area!) you have to be. Orascopes eliminate this problem giving you 30+inches of work space.
The following links go directly to Orascoptic Research, the company that supplies the loupes we use. Their field representative makes a stop at our school to custom fit your loupes to you. Prescriptions can be included right in the glasses or the specialized magnifying loupes! You may also notice we don't wear the plastic side shields, they are removable. Our students get about a half-price discount off the retail you see on their site. With prescriptions in the glasses and lightweight frames I think I paid around $800 and it was the best money I have spent on opticals!
We don't sell these glasses, you will need to arrange a fitting with the manufacturer. We have the reps visit campus often or you can call and arrange for them to come to you or close to you, if you are from out of area. www.orascoptic.com will get you to a "request a representative contact me" page. 1-800-369-3698 will also get you to them. Be sure to identify yourself as a River Rock Student and ask for the student discount or you will pay twice as much (we get a 50% discount).

They also offer a brand new kind of Loupe: This is the model loupes we use. If you aren't sure what to order, have them look up River Rock Students and they will know what we get and we generally order the "regular or long" working distance. If you are over 5'5", go with long!
HiRes™
